Lecturer in Law and Director of the Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program Jan Jacobowitz was sworn into the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics and Public Trust on June 7th by the Chief Judge of the 11th Judicial Circuit Count, Bertila Soto, J.D. ’89. Jacobowitz is also the co-author of the book, Legal Ethics and Social Media, A Practitioner’s Handbook and co-author of Mindfulness & Professional Responsibility—Incorporating Mindfulness into the Law School Curriculum. Jacobowitz teaches Mindful Ethics: Professional Responsibility for Lawyers in the Digital Age and Social Media and the Law. She will serve a four-year term as an Ethics Commissioner.
