Jeffrey Hearne, Director of Miami Law’s Tenants’ Rights Clinic, was named the 2018 Consumer Protection Lawyer of the Year at the annual Florida Bar Convention in Orlando, in recognition of his commitment to tenants’ rights. In addition to his role at the School of Law, he is director of litigation at Legal Services of Greater Miami, where he oversees a team of lawyers. Hearne represents low-income tenants living in subsidized housing, mobile homes, and foreclosed properties.
