CORAL GABLES, Fla. (September 17, 2018) – The University of Miami School of Law introduces a new faculty expert sourcebook to assist print and broadcast reporters and producers in quickly contacting available and media trained specialists in almost fifty fields of interest – from constitutional and criminal law to international human rights and art and artifacts law.
Miami Law is at the forefront in many areas of interest, such as in the field of robotics, where Professor A. Michael Froomkin founded the We Robot conference in 2012 to explore legal and policy issues relating to robotics. Caroline Bettinger-Lopez, who recently returned to Miami Law as director of the Human Rights Clinic after serving as the White House Advisor on Violence Against Woman and senior advisor to Vice President Joe Biden, is an expert in international human rights. The leading expert in the field of “revenge porn,” Mary Anne Franks, has been instrumental in the crafting of national and state laws criminalizing the non-consensual publication of pornography and has advised tech industry leaders, such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google on issues related to privacy, extortion, and online threats and harassment.
The searchable sourcebook also contains a sampling of links to each experts’ recent print and broadcast interviews and appearances.
