Professor A. Michael Froomkin recently published an article (with Ian Kerr & Joëlle Pineau) “When AIs Outperform Doctors: Confronting the Challenges of A Tort-Induced Over-Reliance On Machine Learning” in the Arizona Law Review. Professor Froomkin is the Laurie Silvers and Mitchell Rubenstein Distinguished Professor of Law and is the founder and editor-in-chief of JOTWELL: The Journal of Things We Like (Lots), an online law journal that publishes reviews of the best new scholarship relating to the law. He is also the founder of the We Robot conference on legal and policy issues relating to robotics. Professor Froomkin currently teaches Administrative Law, Torts, and short courses in Robot Law and Privacy. He has also taught Constitutional Law, Civil Procedure I, International Law, Internet Law, Jurisprudence, and Trademark, and seminars in Internet Governance, Law & Games, Regulation of Digital Identity, and Electronic Commerce.
