Professor Stephen Urice Participates in ALI Panel at Smithsonian Institution on Recent Developments in Museum Law

Professor Stephen Urice

Professor Stephen Urice served for the 25th year on the faculty of the ALI-CLE course of study, Legal Issues in Museum Administration, co-sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution. He presented a memorial minute for one of the pioneers in museum law, Marie C. Malaro, and served on a panel discussing recent developments in museum deaccessioning. In 2020, Professor Urice and Terry Vento, General Counsel, Perez Art Museum Miami, will serve as LIMA’s local co-hosts when it convenes in Miami. Professor Urice teaches courses in Elements of the Law, Trusts & Estates, Art Law, Museum Law, and Cultural Property Law and seminars primarily in Art, Museum, and Cultural Property Law and Artists' Endowed Foundations: Law & Policy. He is the Arts Track Director for Miami Law's LL.M. in Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law.
