Melissa Swain, Associate Director of the Health Rights Clinic and Lecturer in Law, attended the first Regional Congress (Conference) of Law School Clinics in Latin America in Lima, Peru, where she presented a typical Health Rights Clinic case and became a formal member of the Latin American Legal Clinic Network. The Health Rights Clinic is the first and only U.S. clinic/school to be part of this network. Swain is a Miami Law graduate (2006) and prior to her work with the Health Rights Clinic, she was the Public Benefits Staff Attorney at Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center in Miami.
