Professor William Bratton recently published the ninth edition of his casebook, Corporate Finance: Cases and Materials, the leading law school casebook on corporate finance.
He has published many articles and book chapters on topics in corporate law, the theory of the firm, law and economics, and legal history.
Professor Bratton joined the University of Miami Law faculty in 2020 as the de la Cruz/Mentschikoff Endowed Chair in Law and Economics and Senior Lecturer. He is also the Nicholas F. Gallicchio Professor of Law Emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School where he was a member of the faculty and Co-Director of the Institute for Law & Economics from 2010 to 2020.
He previously served on the faculties of the Cardozo, Rutgers, George Washington, and Georgetown law schools. He also has been the Anton Philips Professor at the faculty of law of the University of Tilburg, the Unilever Visiting Professor at the faculty of law of the University of Leiden, the Simizu Visiting Professor at the faculty of law of the London School of Economics. He is a Research Associate of the European Corporate Governance Institute.
