Professor Corbin Publishes Several Op-Eds on Roe v. Wade with NBC

Professor Caroline Mala Corbin, Dean’s Distinguished Scholar, has published several op-eds with NBC in the past month, including Eight Legal Reasons to Dislike Justice Alito’s Draft Opinion on Abortion, Will the Supreme Court Once Again Favor the Rights of Christians Over Everyone Else?, and DeSantis Signed Florida’s 15-Week Abortion Ban Bill, He May Be in for a Rude Awakening.

She has given a presentation about abortion rights and the federal and state level at the 2022 Florida Ethics Conference sponsored by the Institute for Bioethics and Health Policy and the Florida Bioethics Network, and she has presented a draft of her paper applying a critical race theory analysis to critical race theory bans at the Yale Law School's Tenth Annual Freedom of Expression Scholars Conference.

Corbin teaches U.S. Constitutional Law I, U.S. Constitutional Law II, First Amendment, the Religion Clauses, the Free Speech Clause, Feminism and the First Amendment, and Advanced Topics in Reproductive Rights. Her scholarship focuses on the First Amendment’s speech and religion clauses, particularly their intersection with equality issues.
