Ivy Kagan Bierman

Ivy Kagan Bierman, lecturer and director of the entertainment track in the Entertainment, Arts and Sports LL.M. Program, was recently named to the 6th annual Variety500, a list of top entertainment business leaders by Variety.  Bierman is a partner at Loeb & Loeb in Los Angeles, where she represents entertainment and related companies in labor, production, distribution, technology, and other business matters. She advocates on behalf of her clients in guild and union matters but also has become an important voice for equity in the profession.

Bierman has been a longtime adjunct faculty member in the EASL Program and teaches an incredibly popular course on Union Organizing and Collective Bargaining in the Entertainment Industry.  As director of the entertainment track, she helps to guide curriculum and admissions, select program speakers, mentor and advise students, assist with practicum and job opportunities and provide general strategic guidance for the program.
