Independent arbitrator specializing in international, investor-state, and complex commercial disputes, Claudia Salomon is known for her sound judgment, effective case management, and ability to reach the crux of an issue quickly.

Salomon, the first woman president of the International Chamber of Commerce International Court of Arbitration, will be speaking on the topic of "Awards and Rewards: Back to the Future," in honor of the centenary of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. The upcoming White & Case International Arbitration Lecture will be hosted by the University of Miami School of Law's White & Case International Arbitration LL.M. Program and International Arbitration Institute.

Salomon's lecture will consider the characteristics of arbitral awards in the early days of the court, the most common issues that arise during the court's scrutiny of awards, and how arbitral awards may be drafted in the future.

The lectures are part of a series that brings leading scholars and practitioners in international arbitration to Miami Law from around the world.

The Wednesday, November 15, 2023, event is free and open to the public with registration.

The lecture will be live-streamed via Zoom with virtual registration

Held at the University of Miami's Lakeside Village Auditorium, 1280 Stanford Drive, Coral Gables, 33146, the event will open at 5:30, lecture from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and a reception will follow. Parking is available at Pavia or Levante Garages. 

Florida CLE credits include 1.0 General Credits; Certification Credits: 1.0 in International Litigation and Arbitration and International Law.
