Professor Kunal Parker, Miami Law’s associate dean for Intellectual Life and dean's distinguished scholar, was recently invited to participate in Digging a Hole: The Legal Theory Podcast, hosted by Professors Samuel Moyn and David Schleicher of Yale Law School. The podcast interviews legal scholars from across the country.

On episode 59, Parker discusses his recent book, The Turn to Process, which was published by Cambridge University Press. The book explores the massive reorientation of American legal, political, and economic thinking between 1870 and 1970. Listen to the podcast here.

Parker’s teaching areas and interests include American Legal History, Estates and Trusts, Immigration and Nationality Law, and Property. In addition to his recent book, Parker has published two other books: Making Foreigners: Immigration and Citizenship Law in America (New York: Cambridge University Press, 2015), and Common Law, History, and Democracy in America, 1790 - 1900: Legal Thought Before Modernism (Cambridge University Press, 2011).
