Marni Lennon, J.D. '95, who serves as assistant dean for public interest and pro bono and director of the HOPE Public Interest Resource Center, recently received the Professor Mary E. Doyle Award at the 75th annual “Morning Spirits” and Homecoming Breakfast. The award is given annually to a School of Law faculty member and is named in honor of the late Mary Doyle, who served as dean of Miami Law from 1986 through 1994.
Lennon founded HOPE and has worked and taught at Miami Law for nearly 30 years. She teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution, ADR Design Systems, Mediation and Social Justice Lawyering, and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator. She has served in numerous leadership roles for the Student Services Section and the Pro Bono Section of the AALS.
Lennon currently serves on the Board of Southern Legal Counsel and the Board of CETLAW. She is a member of the Equal Justice Works National Advisory Committee. She is also proud to serve as the Co-Chair of the Dean’s Circle for the Squire Patton Boggs Foundation.
She was selected by the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of South Florida and the Miami-Dade Teacher of The Year Coalition as co-winner of the Spirit of Service Learning Award.
