In season 14, episode 6 of The Explainer Podcast, Professor Gabriel Scheffler discusses the Affordable Care Act.  The ACA, also known as Obamacare, is a landmark U.S. federal law enacted in 2010 aimed at expanding health insurance coverage, reforming the health insurance market, and improving the quality and affordability of healthcare. Listen to the podcast here.

Scheffler, a former staff economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers, worked on health care and labor market policies. At Miami Law, he teaches health law and policy, administrative law, and regulatory policy. Prior to joining the faculty, he was a regulation fellow with the Penn Program on Regulation at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a research fellow with the Solomon Center for Health Law and Policy at Yale Law School.
