Marcia Narine Weldon, director of the Transactional Skills Program, faculty coordinator of the Business Compliance & Sustainability Concentration, and Transactional Law Concentration, recently traveled to Ghana to speak and moderate panels on the Executive Forum on Strategic Compliance (West Africa) sponsored by Eunomia Risk Advisory, Inc. and National Association of Black Compliance & Risk Management Professionals, Inc.  The forum addressed critical governance, compliance, and risk management challenges facing institutions across the African continent.

Weldon’s teaching and research interests include corporate governance, employment law, regulatory compliance, corporate social responsibility, and business and human rights intersection. She has taught civil procedure, business associations, professional responsibility, employment law, business and human rights, corporate governance, compliance, social responsibility, and legal issues for startups, entrepreneurs, and small businesses at other institutions. She has served as a mentor for the Law School’s LawWithoutWalls since its inception, and blogs weekly for the Business Law Professor Blog.
