After five years of meeting in hotel conference rooms, UM offered a picture-perfect South Florida day filled with student excitement, both for football and for academics. Dr. John Quelch, Dean of the Miami Business School welcomed the Board Members highlighting that healthcare is one of the School’s academic pillars. The board members also heard from current students in the newly launched Master in Health Administration. “Today we are honored to be hosting the National Board for the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education. The board is consists of nationally renowned university faculty and industry leaders. We are the first university to host the national board,” said Dr. Steve Ullmann, Director of the Department and Center for Health Sector Management and Policy and Chair-Elect of the CAHME Board of Directors.

The University of Miami School of Business is CAHME accredited. CAHME is the only organization recognized to grant accreditation to individual academic programs offering a professional master’s degree in healthcare management education and is recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation. CAHME Accreditation is the benchmark for students and employers alike that ensure the integrity of healthcare management education. CAHME is also a member of the Association of Specialized & Professional Accreditors (ASPA) and adheres to the ASPA Code of Good Practice.
