Marketing Department Advisory Board Launched
Tuesday January 16 marked the launch of the University of Miami Business School Marketing Advisory Board. The Marketing Department, recently ranked number seven worldwide, assembled leaders from the marketing industry in South Florida to engage with the Miami Business School to ensure that the marketing curriculum is shaping the future, not merely responding to current trends, as well as to advise, participate, and input on faculty’s cutting-edge research. Board Members will bring real-world perspective to contribute to the student experience regarding internships, student placement, class projects, teaching methods in areas such as digital marketing, social media, and big data analytics, among others.

After an enthusiastic welcome by Dean Quelch, Dr. Michael Tsiros, Chair of Marketing Department and Director of the Behavioral Lab, led introductions. Among the twenty-two attendees were Business School faculty members, including Joseph Johnson, Claudia Townsend and Uzma Khan. Among the esteemed board members present were Miami Marlin’s Claudia Lezcano, Manos Spanos from Pepsi Co. Inc., and Sandy Rubenstein from DX Agency. 

With the support of the Advisory Board, the Miami Business School Marketing Department is hoping to continue its ascending academic position.
