Students accepted into the class starting in January 2022, and who demonstrate academic excellence and strong leadership potential, are automatically considered upon submitting a completed application to the Online MBA program.

These scholarships are made possible thanks to the generosity of Allan Herbert and his late wife Patti, whose lifetime giving to the University of Miami amounts to a transformative $100 million. Their incredible, persistent support has impacted virtually every corner of the University. In 2008, they donated $8 million to name the Patti and Allan Herbert Wellness Center on the Coral Gables campus.

In addition, the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center—part of the Miller School of Medicine—the Frost School of Music, the School of Nursing and Health Studies, the School of Law, the School of Education and Human Development, the Institute for Advanced Study of the Americas, the Department of Athletics, the Lowe Art Museum, Student Affairs, and Alumni Relations have also benefited from their generosity.

“I am pleased that we are able to offer these Herbert Scholars Scholarships so that qualified students can pursue a world-class education at Miami Herbert Business School and become the next generation of business leaders,” said Henrik Cronqvist, vice dean for lifelong learning, Bank of America scholar, and professor of finance.

The Online MBA Program will launch in January 2022 and the curriculum is differentiated by a strong focus on technology, globalization, sustainability, and diversity.

“This new Online MBA Program provides a flexible schedule for working professionals to learn new skills and the opportunity to network and become members of the 'Canes alumni community,” said Cronqvist.
