XIII Iberoamerican Conference on Nursing Education (XIII CIENF)

In the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from September 4-8, 2015, the Thirteenth Iberoamerican Conference on Nursing Education (XIII CIENF) will welcome professionals in the area of nursing and in related fields.
This global meeting aims to convene nurses, educators, researchers, graduate and post-graduate nursing students, authorities from national and international agencies and institutions of education and health, to discuss and reflect on the theme: Formation of Nurses: ecological care, transcultural aspects and citizenship.

The structure of the program is based on thematic areas to ensure the emergence of issues of interest for nursing education professionals in national and international institutions, especially the Iberoamerican institutions. The themes that are covered within the discussions and seminars that make up the Conference will be led by renowned personnel from the areas related to citizenship, transcultural and ecological care.

This event is sponsored by the Latin American Association of Schools/Colleges of Nursing, an international network in which SONHS is proud to hold membership. The conference is cosponsored by the Latin American Universities Union UDUAL and organized by the Schools/Colleges of Nursing linked to that Association. Co-hosting institution are the Schools/Colleges of Nursing of Rio de Janeiro: Anna Nery Nursing School (EEAN / UFRJ); Aurora Afonso Costa Nursing School (EEAAC / UFF), Alfredo Pinto Nursing School (EEAP / UNIRIO), Nursing College of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (ENF / UERJ), the Nursing Graduation at Veiga de Almeida University (ENF / UVA) and the Nursing Graduation Course at Bezerra de Araújo College (ENF / FABA). The Brazilian Association of Nursing (ABEN) is also linked to the Organization of this international event.
