Community Responses to Improve the Wellbeing of LGBT Individuals

On February 5th, 2016 from 9:00am to 12:00pm, the School of Nursing & Health Studies’, Center of Excellence for Health Disparities Research: EL CENTRO, will host the “Community Responses to Improve the Wellbeing of LGBT Individuals” event

The purpose of the event is to increase awareness of issues the LGBT community faces and discuss ways to promote wellbeing from community and scientific perspectives.

The event will have a community-scientific forum format, and will feature five panelists; three community stakeholders from the LGBT community of Miami-Dade, and two university faculty members from California and Chicago who focus on LGBT and community research.
