White House to Recognize one of SONHS’ own as a It’s On Us “Champion of Change”

The White House announced that it will recognize ten students from across the country as “It’s On Us White House Champions of Change, ” at an event on Thursday, April 14th at the White House; the event follows last week’s It’s On Us week of action across the country.

Vice President Biden visited three campuses and the campaign held over 220 events around the country in more than 30 states.

SONHS’ own, Valerie Halstead, PhD candidate, will be amongst those recognized for her efforts and dedication to this cause. More than 340,000 individuals have now taken the pledge to stop sexual assault at ItsOnUs.org.
