SONHS Welcomes Joe Tripodi

Joe Tripodi has been named executive director of Student/Post-Graduate Support Services for the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies. He joins the SONHS Office of Student Services January 21, 2020 from the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design, where he had been director of student services since November 2016.

“I am a firm believer in empowering students and putting them in positions to be successful,” said Tripodi. “I look forward to working with students at the School of Nursing and Health Studies on developing good habits that will set them up to thrive, not just academically, but also as they enter the workforce.”

“Joe is a highly motivated and dynamic leader with extensive experience in student affairs and registrar-related responsibilities,” says Dean and Professor Cindy L. Munro. “He will be a great addition to lead our already-excellent Office of Student Services team.”

Tripodi has more than 12 years of experience in higher education. Before joining the Weitzman School of Design, which enrolls more than 700 students in 26 degree and 16 certificate programs, he was the assistant director of academic advising and worked closely with the registrar at Holy Family University in Philadelphia. He holds an M.A. in higher education from Ashford University and a bachelor of arts in sociology from St. Bonaventure University.
