The engaging and eclectic first-year seminars are open only to freshman students in the College. Enrollment is capped at about 24 students per seminar, creating an environment conducive to discussion and debate. Seminar faculty are focused on undergraduate education.
Senior Associate Dean Maria Galli Stampino said, “The first-year seminars are a microcosm of the larger liberal arts experience at the UM College of Arts & Sciences and are an excellent way to begin your academic journey at UM.”
