Noted Local Poet Jose A. Villar-Portela to Perform at Uspeak Flash Fiction & Poetry Performance Series

Miami poet Jose A. Villar-Portela will perform at the USpeak Flash Fiction & Poetry open mic event, hosted by Mangrove, the national undergraduate literary journal of the University of Miami Department of English.

Jose A. Villar-Portela is a local poet, editor of Jai-Alai Literary Magazine, and programming director for Reading Queer, a Miami-based creative writing organization.

USpeak is an open mic event in a friendly environment where attendees can read their work, play their music, and listen to the art of others. Open mic slots are limited; those who would like to perform should arrive early.
