Kathryn Sue Freeman, beloved mother, sister, aunt, professor and friend, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on January 24, 2025. Kathryn received her Ph.D. from Yale University in 1990. She was a professor of English at the University of Miami College of Arts and Sciences, specializing in William Blake, as well as women writers of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Kathryn was a gentle soul with a brilliant wit and grace, who authored five scholarly books. She was revered by her colleagues and students. Her greatest joy came from raising her son Jordan.
