What is your favorite vacation spot? OR Where is the most interesting place you’ve visited?
Rome, Italy. There is so much to see and do that you could organize a trip of several weeks and still not being able to see everything this beautiful city has to offer.
What is your favorite movie and why?
The Matrix. It's the defining science-fiction film of the 1990's, it also redefined the action genre with its thrilling action sequences and revolutionary visual effects. It was very innovative in the use of the camera angles and movements, the zooms, the slow motion captures and the different color palette used to differentiate the Matrix and the real World.
What is your favorite hobby or thing to do on weekends?
Nerd alert here…I have a pretty big collection of board games. I find them to be a perfect excuse to bring people together. Often during the weekend the family sits around the table to compete or cooperate while laughing, being creative and most importantly building memories. Living in the shoes of a beautiful elf one day, a greedy merchant another day, a powerful wizard or a clever detective is an experience that really allows you to express yourself and disconnect from the usual life routine. What is special about the place you grew up? OR What is your favorite childhood memory?
I was born and raised in Rome, Italy. There are so many things I love and miss about my city that I could talk about them for hours. Rome is such a unique and fascinating city, its history is everywhere, thousands of churches, fountains, sculptures, and palaces from different ages. Behind every corner and building there is a secret to be discovered, a legend to be told or history to be revealed. My favorite childhood memories are about those places, the people I shared them with, walking along the streets with my friends, enjoying a meal in a local “trattoria”, getting an “espresso” in one of the “caffetteria” you can find in almost every block, playing soccer at any given opportunity and dealing with the friendly and loud “Romani”.
What is something nobody would guess about you (that you are willing to disclose!)?
I recently found out that my absolute favorite things to do is being a father.
What was your first impression of UM (or SEHD) when you first started working/going to school here?
What caught my attention was the positive energy I could, and still can, feel around campus. I love to be part of that energy and fuel it.
