Winston Warrior is the new Executive Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing!

I am pleased to announce that Winston Warrior is joining the School of Education and Human Development team as the Executive Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing!

Winston Warrior has joined the School of Education and Human Development as the Executive Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing. Reporting to Dean Laura Kohn-Wood, he will be responsible for the school’s: marketing, external communications, public relations, its digital footprint including social media, and the website; as well as internal communications. Winston will maintain teaching responsibilities as a Part-Time Lecturer in the School of Communication.

As a double alum, Winston is also very passionate about the University as he received his BBA in International Finance and Marketing, as well as his MBA in Marketing from the Miami Business School. He’s worked at the University since 2017 as a full-time lecturer in the School of Communication, in the Journalism and Media Management Department, where he teaches courses in areas that he has coined, “the business side of media.” He also served as a marketing consultant to the Division of University Communications, and to the School of Education and Human Development.

Prior to UM, he was a marketing executive and consultant for several startups, turnarounds, high-growth, and Fortune 500 companies including: Motorola, Cox Enterprises, the College Football Hall of Fame, Cricket Wireless- a division of AT&T Mobility, and his own consulting company Vintage Entertainment and Consulting.
