Dr. de Oliveira is part of a select group, as one of approximately 80 U.S. citizens each year selected to serve on an English Language Specialist assignment.
Dr. de Oliveira will be serving a dual purpose during this project. First, she will be representing the U.S. Mission as a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator at Southern Cone TESOL hosted in Curitiba, Brazil. This is one of the most important and high profile professional development events in the region for the Braz-TESOL organization, especially as they will be hosts in 2019. Furthermore, Dr. de Oliveira will contribute to the English Language Fellow mid-year conference by facilitating professional development sessions for the 12 regional Fellows in the Americas focused on their emerging voices as teacher educators and TESOL professionals.
