Holiday Message - Dean Kohn-Wood from UM SEHD on Vimeo.

As the calendar year draws to a close I want to thank you for supporting the UM School of Education and Human Development (SEHD), whether it is your time, treasure or talent that you have shared in the past year. Our hope is that you feel engaged with the SEHD, as a student, faculty or staff member, an alumnus, community partner or just someone who reads our monthly electronic newsletter updates. The SEHD is all about interdisciplinary inquiry, community engagement, the science of learning and educational equity – and we appreciate your support in these endeavors. I hope that this holiday season you will enjoy many gifts. For me the most important gift of the winter break is the gift of time. I am looking forward to spending some time to reflect on how we will continue to advance the vision and fulfill the mission of the School in 2020, while also celebrating our success and longevity after 90 years. I will also greatly enjoy the gift of spending unfettered time with family, and I hope that you will too. Happy Hanukah, Noche Buena, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa and Happy New Year! My hope for all, including the SEHD members and friends, is to have a year of exceptional well-being and to have opportunities to experience the transformative power of education in 2020!

All my best,
Laura
