The SEHD is delighted to announce that Dr. Youngho Park (Assistant Professor, Kinesiology and Sports Sciences) has been awarded the ACC-CRIA Innovation Initiative Small Grant for his research on the mental health implications of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights for college student-athletes. His study will utilize a mixed-methods approach, integrating advanced quantitative techniques, such as list experiments to mitigate response bias, and qualitative interviews to provide a comprehensive understanding of the psychological challenges student-athletes face in balancing NIL responsibilities with academic and athletic demands. This award highlights the importance of addressing emerging challenges in higher education and athletics through innovative research. Congratulations to Dr. Park for this significant achievement!
