He has worked with the Boston Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, St. Louis Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Detroit Symphony, the New York Pops Orchestra, Opera Orchestra of New York, Radio France Orchestra, and the Winter Olympics Festival Orchestra for the opening ceremonies in Nagano, Japan. He was a prizewinner in numerous competitions including the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and the Opera America Competition and received awards and grants from the Sullivan Foundation, the Shoshana Foundation, and Opera Index.
