Frost School of Music’s 2017 Distinguished Alumnus Recipient, Joshua Henry B.M. ‘06, receives a Tony Award nomination for best leading actor in a musical for Carousel. The musical received eleven nominations: best revival of a musical, best leading actor in a musical, best leading actress in a musical, best featured actor in a musical, best costume design of a musical, best lighting design of a musical, best choreography, best orchestrations, sound design in a musical, and two nominations for best featured actress in a musical.

Joshua Henry has received past Tony Award nominations as Haywood Patterson in The Scottsboro Boys for his portrayal as Flick in the Round-about Theatre Company’s production of Violet.
