Grammy-winning producer, performer, and international superstar Wyclef Jean, descended upon the Frost School of Music located at the University of Miami on April 27th, 2018 to inspire students. In his unique style, he shared his experiences, knowledge and insights on today's challenging music industry. He then took a step back to watch, listen and provide feedback to the Frost School of Music students performing on stage. Two excited and nervous student groups, and two solo acts performed for Jean, and received positive, inspiring and noteworthy advice. “The feedback we got was really encouraging and a really great gift,” said Desiree Bannister, B.M. ‘17.
During his masterclass, Jean discusses his new mixtape: Wyclef Goes Back to School. He plans to embark on a tour of college campuses, where he will be scouting for undiscovered talent to be included in a 12-song mixtape.
