The Frost School of Music at the University of Miami is pleased to congratulate two alumni on their recent news in conjunction with the prestigious Blue Man Group organization.
Murph Aucamp, a graduate of the class of 2017 has been selected to join the award-winning production of the Blue Man Group. Meanwhile, Tyler Pedersen (2016) was crowned the winner of the 5th Annual Blue Man Group Boston Drum-off Competition.
Steve Rucker, member of the Frost faculty and Murph’s professor said: "I was so thrilled when Murph Aucamp called to tell me that he was selected to play with the Blue Man Group! He is absolutely perfect for the job, both in terms of musicianship and personality. He will join alums Jeff Quay and Vince Verderame, who are also in the Blue Man family. What an amazing opportunity for Murph!"
Tyler Pedersen said: “It was amazing playing with Blue Man Group. They are such personalities and it was so much fun to be on stage with them,” “When they announced that I was the winner, I almost didn’t believe it. I’m so happy and thankful to have the opportunity to be selected.”
