The Frost School of Music is pleased to announce, "The Frost Summer Experience," a summer camp to foster musical exploration and growth. This program is open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds who are passionate about music. The Frost Summer Experience allows participants to unleash their creativity, learn from renowned faculty at the Frost School, and make unforgettable memories.

The program is designed to offer a comprehensive and immersive music experience. Through expert instruction, practice sessions, and collaborative performance opportunities, participants will gain valuable skills and knowledge in their chosen field. Additionally, the Frost Summer Experience provides participants with a platform to network and connect with like-minded individuals.

For the budding classical maestros, the Youth Music Day Camp provides an immersive experience for Young Mozarts (grades 2-5) and Young Beethovens (grades 6-8). Participants will engage in tailored activities such as instrumental technique classes, ensemble performances, and theory sessions. Middle schoolers can elevate their skills through auditions for the Virtuoso Chamber Program, receiving individual coaching on chamber music repertoire with a spectacular final recital.

Rock enthusiasts will discover and empower their inner rockstar in the Rock Bands camp, collaborating with Frost Faculty musicians and experienced leaders to form bands, cover favorite artists, and create original songs. The week concludes with an electrifying rock show in a premiere campus venue.

In the Songwriting camp, aspiring songwriters collaborate with Frost Faculty, analyze songs, create original compositions, and delve into key areas of the music business. This unique experience includes co-writing with Rock Band camp students, culminating in studio recordings and a final showcase.

Music Production enthusiasts can immerse themselves in a 1-week intensive course, gaining hands-on experience with production equipment and collaborating with songwriters and performers. This opportunity provides a glimpse into the real-life experiences of music producers and has been a steppingstone for some attendees to secure admission to the Frost School of Music.

Jazz aficionados have two specialized intensives to choose from. The Jazz Vocal Intensive offers vocalists an immersive experience in Jazz Vocal Solo and Jazz Vocal Ensemble singing. At the same time, the Jazz Instrumental Intensive caters to instrumentalists seeking expertise in playing Jazz. Both culminate in a final concert, showcasing the talents honed during the week.

High school musicians seeking a well-rounded experience can opt for the Chamber Intensive & Orchestra, a two-week program delving into chamber music coaching, orchestra rehearsals, theory classes, and expressive workshops. The final recital provides a platform for participants to showcase their renewed artistry.
