Two resources for young musicians have called the Frost School of Music one of the top destinations for potential applicants.

The February issue of In Tune Monthly, an online magazine for middle and high school music students and teachers, includes the Frost School in its bi-annual “Best Music Schools” feature. The story delves into the ways that conservatories and college music programs are expanding beyond the traditional focus on artistic excellence to educate students in technology, the music industry, alternative careers, and real-world skills.

In Tune also featured the Frost School in early 2024. Other programs that were part of In Tune’s recent Best Of features include the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music, the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, the Manhattan School of Music, the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University.

Meanwhile, Sound Scout, a new app designed to connect young applicants and college music programs, posted on Instagram that their young members called the Frost School one of the 21 most requested programs. Sound Scout is a free platform where young musicians can create a multimedia profile to showcase their talents and help them apply to college, while also aiming to help college music schools find and communicate with talented potential applicants.
