Miami Law Website Has Great New Look, Easier Navigation, Improved Capabilities

The website of Miami Law, invariably the first port of call for people interested in knowing all about our school, has received a comprehensive makeover, with a sharp contemporary design, greatly improved navigation aids and other changes throughout.

Pull-down menus now help readers find key information, and new layouts on the site's several thousand pages make text easier to read. Fonts and photos are larger, especially noticeable on the restyled home page. Longer and more detailed headlines create improved search engine optimization (SEO), a factor that helps draw readership to the site. Multimedia implementation within stories is greatly improved, and all facets of the site now render properly on digital devices. Events are easier to locate and many will include mobile phone mapping and RSVP capabilities.

The new modern look, including fonts and color palettes, matches branding elements instituted in recent years by Miami Law's Dean, Patricia D. White, while conforming to official university branding and identity.

The website's new design and mechanics were the work, over several months, of Web Services Manager Roland Liwag, under the supervision of Lauren A. Beiley, the Director of Online Communications and Marketing. Both work in the law school's Office of Communications.

The refreshed website was posted at about midnight on Feb. 1.
