Alumni Leading the Way in Government and Non-Profits

Miami Law alumni are impacting all cross sections of the law, from Big Law to government, to non-profits, to the military.

For public interest engagement and social justice training, Miami Law has built an exceptional culture in and out of the classroom over the years.

Students have multiple opportunities to prepare for careers in these areas, with an array of public interest opportunities through clinics, externships, and advocacy projects. The institutional commitment is also visible in the HOPE Public Interest Resource Center, which administers fellowships locally, nationally, and internationally. Through joint degrees focusing on advocacy and concentrations in social justice and immigration, students leave Miami Law ready to lead in the public sector.

Miami Law’s Assistant Dean for Public Interest and Pro Bono, Marni Lennon, is not surprised by the number of graduates who go on to lead in these areas. She sees it as “a reflection of the values of our school, our students, faculty and alumni, working together to facilitate access to justice from all aspects of law practice and leadership.”
