The University of Miami School of Law is strong in Big Law and has once again proven its mettle in the 2024 Go-To Law Schools hiring report by Law.com. Based on the National Law Journal's annual survey, this prestigious report ranks the top 50 law schools that have sent the highest percentage of 2023 J.D.s into associate jobs at the nation's largest 100 law firms.

With its outstanding performance, the School of Law placed #30, with 82 recent graduates securing positions in the top 100 firms, one of two schools ranked in the state, and the only among South Florida law schools. Miami Law also jumped 18 slots since 2022 when it made the prestigious list at #48 and #22 in promotions to partner in the 2023 listing.

Miami Law's Assistant Dean of Career and Professional DevelopmentAmy Perez, attributes this success to the school's long-standing relationships with law firms in South Florida and the U.S., who recognize that “our students are well prepared for the rigors of large law firm practices.” Buoyed by a still strong legal hiring market, the dedicated career services staff has been instrumental in this achievement, ensuring that the School of Law students excel in the recruiting process and beyond.

"The employers who interview and hire our students rave about how well-prepared and professional they are," said Perez. "Miami Law students have the intellect, business acumen, and technical legal skills to shine at the largest law firms in the world."

Miami Law's extensive and innovative curriculum and experiential programs ensure that graduates are equipped to meet the dynamic demands of today's employers. This commitment gives Miami Law graduates a significant edge, enabling them to contribute effectively to their jobs from day one.

The Office of Career and Professional Development is comprised of a team of advisors, all of whom have law degrees and practice experience in different areas of law, and an excellent support staff dedicated to helping each student achieve their career goals.
