The University Libraries are pleased to welcome Adrian Legaspi as librarian for history, religious studies, and modern languages and literatures for the Learning and Research Services department at the Richter Library, effective May 1, 2023. In this role, Adrian acts as liaison to the departments of History, International Studies, Political Science, Religious Studies, and the Michele Bowman Underwood Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, all in the College of Arts and Sciences. He initiates and fosters collaborative working relationships with students, teaching faculty, and researchers to ensure ongoing dialogue about the research needs of the University community. He also offers consultative and instructional services for undergraduate students, graduate students, teaching faculty, and faculty researchers to advance information and digital literacies and provide expert support throughout the entire research cycle.

Adrian previously worked as the associate director of Learning Resources at Miami Dade College, Homestead Campus, and prior to that, as peer research and learning coordinator in the Department of Learning and Research Services at the University of Miami Libraries. He also held the role of reading room coordinator at the Kislak Center at the University of Miami for the department of Special Collections from 2018 to 2019.

Adrian earned a Master of Science in Information degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, and he holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from New York University.
