The University Libraries are pleased to welcome Jenna Courtade as visiting librarian for architecture archives and reading room services at the Architecture Research Center, effective May 31, 2023. In this role, Jenna coordinates and implements archival processing of current and new collections, as well as manages digital collection-building initiatives. She is particularly excited to work with the Archive of the New Urbanism and its administrative component, the Congress for the New Urbanism, which represents an opportunity to increase access and discoverability to this facet of the Center’s New Urbanism archive.

Jenna is a native of South Florida with experience in a wide range of archival practices, previously serving as chief learning archivist at the New College Student Alliance Archive and as an intern at The Ringling Archives, both in Sarasota, Florida. She also worked for the departments of Digitization Services and University Archives during her graduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Jenna earned a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the iSchool at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from the New College of Florida.
