Meet Remy Dou

Dr. Remy Dou is the Eveleen Lorton Endowed Junior Chair for Pedagogy, Innovation and Excellence at the School of Education and Human Development. His research examines how everyday family interactions shape children’s identification with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), with attention to cultural contexts that influence learning across home, school, and community settings. Dr. Dou received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) in 2025, the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government on early-career scientists and engineers, for his work on STEM identity development.
