Learn how to overcome worry

If you find yourself plagued with “what ifs” and worst case scenarios or experience the sensation of doom, dread, or panic, you may be one of 40 million Americans who suffer from anxiety. Chronic worry can be debilitating, leaving sufferers feeling worn out and hopeless. Learn to utilize practical, effective techniques, such as breathing, self-talk, mindfulness, and muscle relaxation during an upcoming lunchtime seminar. UM employees can register to attend a session, which is facilitated by a Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) consultant. Getting to know OneNote

Learn to organize, record, and collaborate your day-to-day work notes across all of your devices during a live, online session introducing Microsoft's digital note-taking application, OneNote. Register now to secure your spot and receive important information before the session, which will be hosted online using Microsoft Teams. WW session starts now
Kicks off Friday, April 26
With summer upon us—and a few months since many of us made our New Year’s resolutions—now is the perfect time to jump right in and join the next Weight Watchers at Work session. UM faculty and staff, are eligible to be reimbursed for participating in the 12-week program, which meets weekly from noon to 1 p.m. on all three campuses. Attend the kick off session on April 26 at Gables One Tower, room 639, to qualify for a new incentive discount of 15 percent off your registration cost. Savings on UM Summer Scholars program
Apply by Tuesday, April 30
Summer Scholars is a University of Miami program led by UM staff and faculty that runs from Saturday, July 6 to Saturday, July 26. As participants, high school sophomores and juniors can earn six college credits for the courses they complete over the span of three weeks. Students can choose to live on campus or commute for the duration of the program. Children of UM employees may be eligible for tuition remission benefits, which are applied to tuition fee. Bark in the park
Saturday, May 4 at 7 p.m.
Bring your furry friend along for an evening at Mark Light Field to watch the Hurricanes baseball team take on Bethune Cookman on Saturday, May 4. It’s the second and last game this season welcoming canine pals. Purchase your tickets now to the fourth annual Bark in the Park events at UM for $12, which includes one general admission ticket, entry for one canine, and participation in the pregame parade on the field. A donation of $4 will be made to the Humane Society of Greater Miami with each ticket purchase. For questions call 1-800-GO-CANES.
