Ready for the Dolphins Cancer Challenge?

Here’s what you need to know if you’re planning to go to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center's DCC IX on Saturday, April 6. If you’re still thinking about it, it’s not too late. Check out the $25 event offer and support your team.

Let’s start the party

On Friday, April 5, join Team Hurricanes at the Southwest Helix/South Plaza of Hard Rock Stadium for our DCC Friday Night Kick Off from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. In addition to being able to pick up your packet, there will be bike techs, merchandise, food, and more. Enjoy the evening and get excited for DCC IX the following day!

Packet Pick-Up

As a Team Hurricanes member, you will receive two packets—a Team Hurricanes packet and a DCC packet. Your DCC packet allows you to participate in the event and consists of your walk/run/ride number to display on your shirt or jersey, and some DCC items. No one can pick this packet up for you and you must have your DCC credentials in order to participate.

If you're not able to attend the kick-off party on Friday evening, packet pick-up will be available on Friday, April 5 starting at 9 a.m. at the Southwest Helix/South Plaza or Saturday, April 6 at your walk/run/ride start location. For more information, please contact ridedcc@dolphins.com.

Where do I go if I’m racing?

All participants should have received an email from DCC Team Hurricanes (dcc@miami.edu) this week with details on start time, location, and other important information. Please be sure to read it through and familiarize yourself before race day. The email contains a map of your race route and the Hard Rock Stadium event setup. If you have any additional questions about the DCC IX such as route information and start times, please visit DolphinsCancerChallenge.com.

What do I wear?

Saturday’s the day to sport your Team Hurricanes t-shirt or jersey and swag! Let’s represent Team Hurricanes and the University of Miami at the DCC.

Celebrate and support at the Finish line festival

DCC IX will conclude with a new Finish Line Festival, presented by Moss Construction, on the grounds of the new tennis campus at Hard Rock Stadium. The event will feature live entertainment throughout the day from the Ultimate Stage presented by Ultimate Software.

The festival grounds include food and beverages from the rooftop bar and beer garden as well as activities for the whole family—enjoy games, inflatables, a petting zoo, yoga, massages, and more. Guests ages 13 and over can purchase Friends and Family tickets at $25 each. Tickets will be available onsite for purchase.

Get social

On race day and leading up to it, we want to see your posts on social media and share in the excitement on our Life@TheU channels. Use #canesagainstcancer in your posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. See you there!
