What were some highlights of your time as a student and employee?
The best part of being a student and employee is connecting with other students who are employees. My program allowed me to network and build relationships with employees on both the Coral Gables and medical campuses. These bonds led to other opportunities for growth and expansion and allowed me to develop friendships that will extend beyond graduation.
What is a favorite UM memory?
My favorite memory was the 2019 Miami Herbert Business School Leadership Challenge. This was a three-day experience in crisis management that pushed us to not only handle extraordinary circumstances as a team, but helped us to develop strategic management skills and apply them when working under intense pressure.
Please share any advice that you might have for employees looking to go back to school.
Do it! There is never a wrong time to dedicate time for self development. It may seem intimidating, but we have such amazing faculty and staff members at the U that make the process seem less stressful.
