As part of the Total Rewards benefits package, University of Miami faculty, staff, and their eligible dependents may be qualified for tuition remission benefits for most credited undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Whether you've contemplated exploring a degree program for yourself or for a family member, the experts from Human Resources have you covered.

Who is eligible to receive tuition remission?

  • Full-time faculty and staff members who meet eligibility requirements.
  • Part-time faculty and staff members who meet eligibility requirements.
  • Retired faculty and staff members who meet eligibility requirements.
  • Dependent children and spouses of eligible employees.

Which programs are covered under tuition benefits?

With the exception of exclusively online programs—such as UOnline and Frost Online—and graduate programs at the School of Law and the Miller School of Medicine, most credited undergraduate and graduate degree programs are covered. In addition to traditional degree-seeking programs, many other credited, on-campus programs also are eligible. To learn about a program’s eligibility, employees can reach out to the program office directly, or contact HR-Total Rewards by completing an online inquiry form and providing a link to the program’s description and details.

Furthermore, the Division of Continuing and International Education (DCIE) offers programs that are covered under the benefit, including the three-week credited Summer Scholars Program and Intensive English and Spanish Programs. Other offerings, such as the non-credit professional certificate programs, may be eligible for an employee discount. Contact DCIE for more information.

How do I apply?
Employees and their dependents must meet the University admissions requirements and be accepted into individual programs. Learn how you can get started today.
