University of Miami named one of the Best Employers for Women

Forbes recognizes the University of Miami among America’s Best Employers for Women in 2023.

The University of Miami strives to create a culture of belonging where every member of the community has a sense of connection and feels like their contributions are valued. Forbes, the American business magazine, recently recognized the University’s commitment to serving the needs of its workforce by naming it one of America’s Best Employers for Women. Determined by an independent survey, this ranking further positions the University among the top employers in Florida and across the nation.

“We receive this distinction with genuine honor, acknowledging our place among the distinguished employers for women across a spectrum of industries,” said Alison Mincey, senior vice president and chief human resources officer for the University of Miami and the University of Miami Health System/Miller School of Medicine. “This is a reflection of the exceptional talent and collective efforts of our entire university community.”

To determine the list, Forbes partners with Statista, Inc., a prominent market research company, to conduct an independent survey. Input was gathered from a pool of 60,000 employees currently working at companies with a workforce of at least 1,000 individuals in their United States’ operations. Participation in the voluntary survey ensured that responses were collected from diverse sources with broad representation.
