Save money and time on your commute to work

HR-Total Rewards and the University’s Office of Parking and Transportation invite faculty and staff members to learn about the many ways to save money and time while getting to and from campus.

Review parking passes and color zone restrictions.

All vehicles parked on campus are required to always have a valid University parking permit or use the Pay-By-Phone and Pay Stations during certain hours in select parking zones, available on all campuses.

Parking permits are issued with an assignment to a specific color zone. Review changes made to campus parking zones which were introduced starting this Fall 2023 semester.

Get discounted passes for Miami-Dade Metrorail, Tri-Rail, and Metrobus.

The University’s transit discount program offers discounts and incentives to ’Canes using the Metrorail, Tri-Rail, and Metrobus. Eligible faculty and staff members can access stops near all three campuses and receive discounted monthly passes. Complete and submit the Employee Metrorail/Tri-Rail Pass Election Form to join the program.

Access exclusive rates with Brightline.

Brightline offers exclusive rates—with discounts up to 25 percent—to faculty and staff members for work and leisure travel. Learn more about how to redeem discounted rates on applicable Brightline rides and monthly passes.

Bike to campus.

Through the University’s mobility program cyclists can take advantage of incentives and perks such as access to the showers in locker rooms at the Coral Gables Herbert Wellness Center, or the UHealth Fitness and Wellness Center.

Earn Well ’Canes Points.
