ICYMI: University authors shine at the Miami Book Fair

Last weekend The U Creates, which fosters awareness of arts, culture, and creative expression at the University of Miami, partnered with the Miami Book Fair to sponsor signature events—including University of Miami faculty authors—and to meet the literary community during the lively street fair. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Miami Book Fair typically welcomes over 200,000 visitors and hosts more than 500 authors. This year was no exception.

Explore the gallery below to see appearances from members of the University community.

Pro tip: There's still time to see Ukhamba—the commissioned installation launched at the Book Fair—by Germane Barnes, associate professor and director of the Community Housing Identity Lab at the School of Architecture. The exhibition runs through February 24, 2024.
