Slow Looking with the Lowe: Prints by Helen Frankenthaler.
Tuesday, June 11, at noon
Tola Porter, Lowe Art Museum educator for academic and public programs, will lead participants through a 30-minute mindful and interactive session exploring selected artworks from the Lowe’s collection. Register to attend the virtual program. Visit the Lowe Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free to the general public; reserve your ticket in advance.

Student Leadership Day for high school students. 
Friday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Hosted by the University of Miami Sports Medicine Institute, South Florida high school juniors and seniors are invited to participate in a free in-person program alongside the doctors who care for the Miami Hurricanes and Miami Marlins. Participants can expect an agenda designed to cultivate students’ leadership skills through actionable insights from prolific athletes as well as business and community leaders, all while earning community service hours upon completion. Connect with colleagues through a book club.
Friday, June 14, at noon
Open to the entire University community—including University faculty and staff members and students—the Women's Commission book club has announced hybrid book club meeting dates for June and July. On Friday, June 14, at noon, the group will discuss “The Woman in the Library,” by Sulari Gentill, followed by Rachel Hawkins’ “The Villa,” on Friday, July 19.
