We want to hear from you. Take the 2018 Faculty and Staff Engagement Survey today!

Who receives the survey? All permanent, full-time and part-time faculty and staff. The survey will not include temporary workers or students.

When will the survey run?  The survey runs from October 1 through October 12.

Is the survey confidential? Yes. Your participation, and the answers you provide, will be kept confidential. No individual survey responses will be reported to the University of Miami. Results will be aggregated without individual identifiable information. In no way will anyone from UM be able to connect your responses directly to you. Survey data from units of fewer than five persons and/or respondents are rolled up to the next level manager to protect confidentiality. For more information refer to the Quantum Workplace Privacy Policy.

Why should I participate? Your responses will provide insight on what is working well and opportunities for change across the University. The most impactful change typically occurs within teams, so it is important that you respond to the survey to share your opinions about your work experience at the University. The last survey was conducted in 2016. The results from that survey identified training and development as an opportunity, and since then, there have been additional training opportunities added to support teams, including the expansion of ULearn to include more than 2,000 professional development courses for all faculty and staff, enhancements to the Essentials of Leadership program, and the addition of two new programs for leaders.

How can I take the survey? Faculty and staff received an email from Quantum Workplace on Monday, Oct. 1. Check your email to take the survey. If you did not receive the email, please email surveysupport@quantumworkplace.com or call 402-519-2141. Quantum survey support is available between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. EST. If contacted outside of business hours, the Quantum team will be in touch as soon as possible.

When will the survey results be shared? Results will be shared with senior leadership in late November, and shared University-wide shortly thereafter. It is the responsibility of your supervisor to share unit-level results with you within a reasonable timeframe after the University-level results are shared.
